Cristina Lledo Gomez

Cristina Lledo Gomez is a Systematic Theologian and the Presentation Sisters Lecturer at BBI-The Australian Institute of Theological Education. She is also a Religion and Society Research Fellow at Charles Sturt University’s Public and Contextual Theology Research Centre (PACT).
Her role at BBI-TAITE is directed toward promoting women’s spiritualities, feminist theologies, and ecotheologies. Cristina was the Visiting International Research Fellow for Boston College’s School of Theology and Ministry in 2015-16 and recipient of the Catherine Mowry Lacugna Award for New Scholars for her essay “Mother Language, Mother Church, Mother Earth”, awarded by the Catholic Theological Society of America in 2020.
Cristina has served on boards and committees including the first lay Chair of the Australian Catholic Social Justice Council (2019 – 2020), Chair for the Committee for Underrepresented Ethnic Groups (2018-2021) at the Catholic Theological Society of America, and currently Board Member at-large for the Ecclesiological Investigations Network (2019 – current). She has also held the roles of University Pastoral Associate for Staff, Diocesan Social Justice Coordinator, and Highschool Maths and RE teacher. She has volunteered in local churches as Senior Server, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Youth and Music Minister.
