The Conference of European Churches, together with the Louvain Centre for Eastern and Oriental Christianity (LOCEOC), is from 16 to 17 December 2020 hosting an online ecumenical conference titled “The Hope of Communion: From 1920 to 2020”. The online event will bring into focus the two landmark ecumenical texts from 1920, namely the encyclical of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, ‘Letter to the Churches of Christ Everywhere’ and ‘The Appeal to all Christian People’ issued by the Lambeth Conference of Anglican Bishops.
