The First Conference of the Ecclesiological Investigations Research Network
St Deiniol’s 2007
The First Conference of the Ecclesiological Investigations gathered theologians and activists from four different continents and from many different churches gathered at the St Deiniol’s Library in Wales (former home of the British Prime Minister, William E. Gladstone) between 12 and 15 January 2007.
The idea was to discuss the issues and themes of greatest importance today to scholars in relevant fields, as well as for the church, itself, and to look, also, towards the future, including explorations concerning the nature and role of the church.
The event marked the First Conference of the Ecclesiological Investigations International Research Network and saw much discussion about the nature and ethos, as well as future development of the Network itself.
